All the birds below are calling or singing at dawn in early March in our area, northern Westchester County, New York.

By early April, there will be new birds arriving from the south adding their voices to the dawn soundscape.

A good way to start learning bird sounds is to learn the most common, early spring sounds first — before spring migration gets busy — so that you can recognize when there are new spring bird sounds in your area.
